Cat and Jack (Target) subscription box review

Cat and Jack (Target) subscription box review

I know what you’re probably thinking. If you follow my blog, I’m a little all over the place since lately I have been writing about my struggle with post-partum anxiety. Well, I woke up feeling good today and decided I wanted to write a review on my recent Cat and Jack subscription box!

I’m a fan of boxes of clothes being picked out by someone else and shipped to my doorstep. I’ve previously written a review of one of my Stitch Fix boxes, and I have another shipment headed my way next month! Maybe another review will be in order.

I ran across an ad for Cat and Jack subscription boxes from Target on Facebook the other day and I was immediately intrigued. I mean, it’s Target. It really is my happy place. And a box full of cute baby clothes, yes please. So I decided to check it out.

For $40, the box promised to deliver 6-7 pieces of clothing for the latest season. Since this baby is another boy, he’s destined to wear a lot of hand-me-downs from his brother, and many of those clothes are already second-hand, because babies grow fast and I don’t have a money tree in my backyard.

So I thought, let’s get the guy some new clothes. Plus, I had a $25 gift card I needed to use, so that was a bonus. It took me all of two minutes to head over to, select a boy box for the size he is growing into and checkout. The box was on my doorstep three days later.

I was excited to check out what they sent me, and I was not disappointed. I was sent eight pieces, making up four complete outfits. I checked out the prices on each set and realized I saved about $10 by getting the box compared to if I were to buy each set separately, so that is nice.

I will admit that I haven’t been a huge fan of one-piece jumpers in the past, and the box contained two, but they are really cute so I will be giving them a shot. My absolute favorite is the cream and maroon long-sleeved hooded bodysuit and matching pants that have a little lion on the butt. The front of the pants also have cute little mock-pockets and a drop crotch.

My overall thought is that I love everything they sent and I think it is a good deal. This would be a great idea for a baby gift if you know the sex of the baby. I did not sign up for a subscription because I wanted to try it out first. It is my understanding that with the subscription, you get sent a new box of clothes each season, so four times a year. With that said, I definitely think I will order another box in the future. So damn, Target, just keep taking my money.
